Chelsee Boehm, Boise State University Historian Fellow
In her role as Historian Fellow, Chelsee Boehm conducts historical research, processes and documents artifacts, and develops an array of official documents for publication or internal use.
“History is our strongest tie to our individual and collective pasts. If properly used, it can help to bring us together.”
Boehm brings a certain joy for oral history interviews, artifact preservation, digitization of history collections, and design of history-oriented exhibits. Often trusted to support Program Managers with special department-wide projects, she is a passionate and dedicated addition to the department.
“I find local history utterly intriguing: learning about a city’s traditions, its quirky nicknames for different parts of town—there’s a uniqueness about a place that you don’t fully understand until you spend time there.”
With a Bachelor’s in History and a Master’s in Applied Historical Research, Boehm is currently looking into returning to school for a library science degree
