This was my last Christmas before becoming a big sister, who joined our family in early January. My grandparents made the little white cupboard, which I played with for years, as did my sister. When we moved — from house to house to a new state and eventually back to Boise — my parents took great care to protect the little cupboard…just in case they ever had grandchildren. And they did. The cupboard is still in great shape and has been a fixture in our home ever since. It now sits protected in a closet. Just in case we ever have grandchildren…!
