Public Works

In 2003 Boise City commissioned Idaho artist and architect Dwaine Carver to create an arts plan in Boise WaterShed, an environmental education center at the wastewater treatment plant.  The artists worked with the architectural and interpretive design team to conceptualize opportunities for public art and wrote an Arts Master Plan for the center.

During 2003-2009 eight integrated public art projects were completed and the facility was built.  In 2009 Carver was hired to update the plan and provide the direction for the second phase of public arts projects.

Boise WaterShed's mission is to promote water stewardship by teaching people of all ages how to protect and conserve our precious resources for future generations. READ MORE
