Makenzi Dunstan, Cultural Sites Outreach and Education Assistant
In her role as Cultural Sites Outreach and Education Assistant, Makenzi Dunstan collaborates with Arts & History staff, resident artists, and community partners to develop engaging learning opportunities for the community of Boise.
A lifelong lover of literature and learning (and alliteration), Dunstan received a Bachelor's degree in English Education from Boise State University. She served as a public school teacher for several years before joining the Department of Arts & History in 2018. She draws on her skills and experiences as an educator to design enriching programming, resources, tours, and events for all ages and abilities.
Dunstan would summarize her approach to Cultural Sites outreach and education as community-oriented, curiosity-driven, and collaboration-minded. She finds great joy in sharing the diverse stories of Boise, past and present, through the lens of Cultural Sites.
