The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has announced its next OUR TOWN grant deadline: August 6, 2020 (for Part 1, SF-424, of the application); and August 18, 2020 for narrative, budget and work samples.

The Boise City Department of Arts & History (A&H) is soliciting ideas from nonprofit organizations in the community for this year's OUR TOWN grant. A&H will determine with the Mayor's Office which concepts are most competitive and align with the City's priorities, and one organization will be encouraged to proceed with application.

Our Town is the National Endowment for the Arts’ creative placemaking grants program. Through project-based funding, NEA supports projects that integrate arts, culture, and design activities into efforts that strengthen communities by advancing local economic, physical, and/or social outcomes. Successful Our Town projects ultimately lay the groundwork for systemic changes that sustain the integration of arts, culture, and design into local strategies for strengthening communities. These projects should engage in partnership with other sectors (such as agriculture and food, economic development, education and youth, environment and energy, health, housing, public safety, transportation, and workforce development). Cost share/matching grants range from $25,000 to $150,000, with a minimum cost share/match equal to the grant amount.

If your organization would like to apply for an OUR TOWN grant this year, please complete the form below no later than 5 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2020 providing the following information:

Be sure to thoroughly review the NEA guidelines to determine if your organization has the capacity to submit, receive and manage a federal grant.
