Creators, Makers and Doers: James (Jim) Talbot
January 30, 2019
Originally from Geneva, Ohio, photographic artist James (Jim) Talbot has dedicated almost half his life to relentlessly documenting those who surprisingly go unnoticed. His mania is portraiture and quirky landscapes. Along the way, he stopped off at Boise State University for 16 years as an adjunct professor of art. Much like the people he photographs, Jim has followed his passion, always remaining true to himself. Today, he is still that boy of long ago with a pounding passion for photography, country music, good laughs, and life.
Hosted by the Boise City Department of Arts & History at the James Castle House in Boise, Idaho, Creators, Makers, & Doers: Live is a series of informal talks focusing on the creative processes and studio practices of artists. This series is motivated to explore the lives and work of artists and ignite conversation around creativity in Boise. Recorded on January 30, 2019.
