Boise's expansive sky serves as a canvas for all types of flight—whether it be the graceful glide of birds, the drift of clouds, the path of planes, or the endless sweep of stars—sparking our imagination. Drawing inspiration from Idaho’s skies and the majestic birds of prey that soar above the landscape, Boise Wings is a tribute to the intersection of nature and technology. Each of the installation's five wings spans thirty feet and are crafted from stainless steel accentuated with blue neon lights. The lights in sequence, one wing following the next, mirroring the dynamic motion of a hawk's wings soaring upward. The five wings are also representative of the progression of a single wing in flight, transforming the airport parking structure into a living creature taking flight.
