Gentle Breeze is a vibrant, interactive sculpture inspired by the natural beauty and easygoing spirit of Boise. Designed through community input, this 26-foot-tall pink tree stands on a grassy hill, its 748 aluminum leaves rustling softly in the wind. The color—a vivid pink—reflects Boise’s spring blossoms and glowing sunsets. Beneath the tree’s wide canopy, gently swaying double-seater swings offer a space for rest, reflection, and connection. The sculpture brings together nature, movement, and public gathering in the heart of the city. This iconic installation celebrates the “gentle breeze” that flows from the foothills to downtown and invites visitors to pause and enjoy a moment of calm within the urban landscape.
