"Memorial Wall" at the entrance of City Hall West, created by Creative Design Studios, honors the history and dedication of Boise’s police and fire departments. Four low concrete walls feature hand-carved and machine-etched relief panels that showcase key moments in public safety. The front two panels combine police and fire imagery, highlighting the evolution of uniforms and badges over time. On the back of the front two walls, historical images offer a visual journey through the history of both departments in Boise. In addition, three spherical bollards provide both protection and inviting spaces for rest, symbolizing the strength and stability of Boise’s first responders. This installation serves as a tribute to the courage and service of those who safeguard our community.
