"Memory & Vision" (2026) by Krivanek + Breaux are sculptures on the corners of Broad Street and 5th & 6th streets that serve as bookends to the block. The artwork is inscribed with names of places, trades, and vocations that highlight a past that has since been erased from the physical landscape of Boise's Central Addition. Within window-like openings, interpretive information establishes historical context for events that shaped the neighborhood. "Memory & Vision" serves as a pair of visual markers to draw viewers into and along this corridor.
Identified by area residents and business owners in 2019 and commissioned in 2021, the artwork was installed in 2026 after a five-year wait due to potential development in the area. Funded by Capital City Development Corporation.
