This sculpture invites viewers to bridge a connection between Native American storytelling traditions and the spirit of libraries being an enduring repository of knowledge and narratives. The petroglyphs—though taken out of their original context—are symbols carrying deep cultural and historical significance that often illustrate oral traditions predating written language as we know it. The sculpture is meant to represent how storytelling, in both traditional and contemporary forms, is a part of the universal human condition that seems to connect us across cultures and time.
