VanDeGrift's artwork focuses on the relationships between people and animals in our local neighborhoods. In her paintings, she shows animals that people have seen around Boise. For some, these encounters are an ordinary part of living in a community surrounded by wildlife. For others, these creatures feel more magical—even becoming living myths.
