Six bronze bears sit patiently under forty six cascading fish. The artist intended for the artwork to not intrude physically into the pedestrian space. Of her work she says, "Spring Run makes an elegant and colorful statement about the beauty of our state's wildlife. It symbolizes the concerns we all have for protecting our resources for the generations to come." This installation incorporates six metal bear heads she had made at the Kohler Co. in Wisconsin and the Walla Walla Foundry in Washington. Three of the heads are cast bronze, two are cast brass, and one is cast iron. The fish were hand built in clay, fired to a medium temperature and brightly glazed to withstand weather changes.
