Debbie Fischer considers visual art to be very important and believes art should reflect our surroundings and what is important to us. As Georgia O’Keefe said, “Art is not what you see but what you make others see.” Fischer likes to give viewers a different way of looking at their surroundings. Fischer has been a fused glass artist and teacher for over twenty years in Boise. The love she has for Idaho and Boise has been displayed in her latest works, combining art, home and life experiences. In some of Fischer's latest projects she has incorporated passion for art history by placing Boise in some of Van Gogh’s motifs.
