Shared Sky, Shared Ground is a four-panel acrylic landscape that moves through the rhythm of a single day—sunrise, midday, sunset, and twilight—anchored in the Idaho terrain and held together by what endures: land, light, and the life it sustains. Each panel is rooted with living elements that extend beyond the painted surface into planted forms, inviting the work to exist not just as image, but as presence.
The four panels suggest that time changes everything—light shifts, colors deepen, shadows lengthen—but the land remains a shared constant. In this way, the work becomes both a bridge and a mirror: a bridge between past and present, between cultures, between human and natural systems; and a mirror asking us to consider how we belong to this place, and to each other.
