This resolute bronze statue, a replica of the original at the Wildland Firefighter Monument in Boise, stands as a tribute to the brave men and women of the wildland firefighting community. Created in memory of artist Larry "Doobie" Nowlan, the statue honors those who have dedicated their lives to protecting the land, including those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
