Rooted in the history of Ustick and the interurban rail system that once connected this community to the broader valley, “Windows in Time” explores how the past, present, and future intertwine. Three sculptural panels—each featuring its own color, material, and swirling design—invite viewers to see time from different angles. Framed windows and embedded glass lenses offer shifting perspectives, symbolizing the diverse ways individuals experience a shared place. Built with salvaged rail tracks and joined with rivets, the work honors both the literal and symbolic foundations of the neighborhood. “Windows in Time” is a tribute to movement, memory, and imagination—reminding us that communities grow when we look forward, backward, and through.
