Boise Mayor: John Haines 1907
John Haines was born in Iowa, on January 1st, 1863. When he came to Boise he started work at W. E. Pierce & Co., a real estate company. Haines became the mayor of Boise during 1907 and served until 1909. One of his goals as Mayor was to bring more development to Boise, and to grow the city. He became Idaho's governor in 1912 and served until 1913. He died January 4th, 1917 in Boise.
