The James Castle House is thrilled to welcome interdisciplinary artist Jenna Inzetta (she/her) to Boise, Idaho for a 10-week residency. Selected after a nationwide call and announced in October 2023, Inzetta’s collage works integrate salvaged and repurposed materials to dissect, reconstruct, and preserve her memories and daily experiences.

“The memories I choose to recreate with collage are quiet, peaceful, and at times, lonely. Exciting experiences can be easily recalled for years after they take place. What I aim to achieve through these collages is the ability to hold on tightly to the precious moments which take place during daily life that, at first glance, seem entirely insignificant.”

Inspired by James Castle’s material choices and depictions of Idaho landscapes, Inzetta plans to create a new body of work exploring the intersection of memory and place during her time at 5015 Eugene Street in Boise’s Collister Neighborhood.

Inzetta obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, NY. She has participated in group exhibitions at M. David & Co. and The Corner Gallery in Brooklyn. Learn more at @jenna.inzetta.
