Hannah Williamson, Public Works Public Art Project Coordinator

Hannah Williamson (she/her) liaises between the departments of Arts & History and Public Works, creating collaborative opportunities for artists to highlight the city’s natural resources, public infrastructure, and renewable energy initiatives through their work. This partnership is an unparalleled opportunity to call on artists to become impactful leaders in the city’s climate action goals. As such, Hannah’s role includes project development, selection panel facilitation, project and contract management, and public programming, including walking tours and professional development.

Hannah holds a bachelor’s in Leadership in the Arts from Whitworth University. Before joining the City of Boise, she worked as a stay-at-home mom, artist, and gallery assistant, and led public art projects. Her passion for the arts, social and environmental issues, and community building are her driving force in making art accessible and approachable to everyone.

When not working on her own creative pursuits, Hannah enjoys thrifting, thinking up projects around the house with her husband, or nurturing her two daughters’ appreciation for the “greats”: tea with ginger cookies, paint on canvas, and Dolly Parton.
