Gorongosa National Park Exhibit Opening

Zoo Boise’s new 2.5-acre Gorongosa National Park Expansion will feature baboons, Nile crocodiles, vervet monkeys, otters, hyenas, warthogs, spiral horned antelope and Painted Wolves, exotic birds, and more.
The $9 million expansion includes replicas of the E.O Wilson Laboratory, a local Gorongosa sustainable farm and eventually, beehives. The farm will be an active area where visitors can camp, take classes and learn about the Gorongosa Project, which - in addition to wildlife restoration and research - includes agroforestry, and medical and education programs to support people living near the park.
