About

Experience the vibrant rhythms and rich traditions of Egyptian dance at Boise Raks!

Presented by Starbelly School of Dance and starring the Starbelly Dancers, this special event brings the beauty and energy of Raks Sharqi and Egyptian folkloric dance to the heart of Boise.

Thanks to the support of the Boise City Department of Arts and History and Starbelly School of Dance, this celebration of movement and culture invites the community to immerse themselves, free of charge, in the artistry of Middle Eastern dance.
And at our library location, we’re bringing the joy of dance to our youngest fans!

Join us at the Downtown Library for kid-friendly, interactive performances like the toe-tapping Baby Raks Shark(i), the silly and surprising Chicken and Banana, the lively Pony Dance, and a magical duet between Aladdin and Jasmine that invites little ones to imagine, move, and dream along. These playful dances are designed to get kids clapping, dancing, and joining in the fun!

Join us for a day of dance, music, and connection!
