About

Thursday, July 24, marks our final New SUM gameplay session in the Riparia exhibit—and you're invited.

Co-facilitated with Claire Quade and MaryK Johnson.

Claire’s meditative focus in the last round brought a grounding energy that shifted the way we played. It helped shape the vision of what’s emerging in the game, and now is a great time for finding resonance around the table, and imagining different possibilities.

If you’ve been curious, now’s the time. Bring a goal for the Treasure Valley, the first challenge that comes to mind, and a small token to represent yourself on the board.

Gameplay draws from current events, requested game themes, and wild ideas based on the resources we already have here in abundance—designed to spark ideas, dialogue, and real-world creativity.

About The Ecogeoglyphic Observatory

The Ecogeoglyphic Observatory is a post-disciplinary eco-collective exploring the Boise Valley's historic, present, and future relationship with development. In our current exhibition, RIPARIA, we are embracing the flood plain, the wetland, the intermittent stream, and the river as guides who assist us in seeing how to better live in relation to each other and to the vital dynamics of the living earth. This installation-based show features found and repurposed objects; maps; sculpture; photography; textile works; miniatures; sound art; and more. We hope to see you at the opening!
