Call to Artists & Educators - Arts for Kids 2009

The Boise City Department of Arts & History, in partnership with the Capital City Public Market and the Capital City Development Company (CCDC), is seeking professional artists and educators to instruct children in visual, performing, literary, or multi-cultural disciplines for the 2009 Summer Arts for Kids season. Arts for Kids 2009 is a program offering FREE art workshops to children between 3 and 12 years of age. Additional program sponsors include Boise Inc., Idaho Power, Oppenheimer Development Corporation, and Downtown Boise Association (DBA).
Project Dates/Times: |
Saturdays from June 6 through August 8, 2009 (10 dates) |
Project Description: | Accepted applicants will instruct three 45-minute hands-on workshops for selected age group on one or more Saturdays. Creativity is encouraged, as is incorporating "green" concepts, such as using recycled objects. |
Project Location: | Workshops will be located at the market on the Northwest Spoke of the Grove Plaza, just west of the Brick Oven Bistro. |
