Alley History is a collage of hand formed, glazed, and kiln-fired ceramic tiles which are collaged with existing and contemporary hand-painted signage on the alley facing façade of a historic building. The layers of imagery serve to provide an interpretive framework for exploring the identity of the alleyway. Alley History pre-dates the more recent activity in Freak Alley and serves as an anchor on the 9th St. side.
