The artist used a single band of metal which serves as a metaphor for a growing system. At 7 feet tall, its scale refers to a doorway and evokes a sense of dynamic complexity that often exists at boundary areas or points of transition. The location unites 8th street marketplace (BODO) and the Grove Plaza- two separate nodes of pedestrian activity.
